This 96” X 42” Broken Tile and Stained Glass Mosaic artwork hangs in the main office of Nancy B Jefferson Alternative School. Above it reads the school’s motto: “No one is a failure who keeps trying”. The image of a village elder passing down knowledge to the next generation is a reminder to faculty, staff, students, parents and visitors that we have a responsibility to educate our youth and that circumstance does not define identity.
